Reading a book during the 2.5 hrs it took us to make the 45min trip! lol! long story!!
So cute in her sunhat and strawberry outfit!
Once we FINALLY arrived at the festival, it was a HOT day and very windy, so dust was blowing everywhere!! We took a few pics...
then Roo fell asleep in the stroller (in the shade out of the wind and dirt!) for most of the fest!
By the time Roo woke up, we had seen all there was to see (and tasted every strawberry concoction we could handle - strawberry nachos?!)...
So Grandma got Ryleigh her promised strawberry shortcake...
which Roo LOVED, and we went home to shower the dirt off!
The next few days Ryleigh and I fought off sniffles and coughs from the windy adventure, and by today we were recovered enough for another trip - to see the Easter Bunny! Knowing her tendency to freak out at character photo ops, we talked about seeing the "big huge funny bunny" for a few days, and she seemed excited! But as soon as we rounded the corner and she caught sight of him...
She didn't think that bunny was so funny!
Rather than force her into it, we figured if she saw Lily and Colin brave the bunny she might change her mind! Lily was adorable and photogenic as usual...
but Colin did not like the Easter Bunny as much as he liked Santa! Once Ryleigh saw the Easter Bunny "hurt Cowin" she freaked out even worse and hid behind me while I took pics of the other two kiddos!
This is as close as Ryleigh wanted to be to the Easter Bunny...
so we hopped on home!!!!
This is Ryleigh's taste in accesories! I don't argue if we're just going to Walmart!

OK, I gotta get to bed now! It's been a long night of homework and I have to get up early to bake cupcakes for the squadron Easter party! I'll post more pics after this weekend!

LOL! I can't believe I missed it! Ryleigh looked so cute peering between the gate to see the bunny! Poor Colin. I can't believe my cranky baby actually did it!
