AZ trip

Well we've been here in Gilbert since Tuesday, and it's taken me that long to recover from the horrors of the flight out here. Let's just say that benadryl does NOT have a calming effect on Ryleigh. It was the most miserable two and a half hours ever, and its a safe bet we will be driving with her for quite awhile after this trip. We're having a blast here at Grammy and Grampy's house, playing in the pool and catching up with family and friends! Roo has even been doing some gardening out by the pool (that right butt cheek needed some sun!)!

Roo has figured out how to escape out the doggy door, in fact we're pretty sure she thinks it was created just for her!

And since we have built in babysitters, Ryan and I actually got a chance to go out the other night! It was fun, even if we were exhausted by 11pm!

So as you see we're having a blast on our vacation! More later when I'm not so busy tanning and relaxing *sigh* life is hard!

I'm baaaack!

So the final is over, and it SUCKED! I am just praying I passed the class. I had an A going into it, but it was an incredibly hard test, and counted for a large portion of the final grade! so unfair! anyways, I guess stressing over it now isn't going to help. I did the best I could do. As soon as that drama was over, Roo and I headed down to Corpus for some retail therapy! We spent the whole weekend shopping with Bette and ended the trip with a cooler full of Bob's pork ribs! awesome trip! Now it's back to the real world of unpacking, laundry, and re-packing! Ryan leaves for Tucson in the morning, and Ryleigh and I leave for Phoenix on Tuesday morning! YAY!!! We are so excited! Everyone keep your fingers crossed that I can keep Roo occupied on the plane though, she has been especially SHRIEKY lately when she feels cooped up (carseat, stroller, etc.). fun fun fun. I've been reading James Dobson's book The New Strong-Willed Child, and it is scraing the poop out of me b/c so many of the things it describes as difficult behavior for two and three year olds are things Roo is already doing! this is one area where I don't want her to be "advanced"! lol! but I guess karma got me; I was a handful for my parents, and now I'm getting my payback! so laugh all you want, Mom - we're coming to YOUR house soon! lol! well, I better get to work on all that laundry (and hanging up all the clothes we bought before Ryan sees them!)...

fish face

Ryleigh is on a fish kick, thanks to a glowing goldfish toy that Bette bought her! She points out "shishes" wherever we go, and today she made the joyous discovery of Goldfish crackers! It was so cute how excited she got when she saw them on the shelf at HEB! When we got home and I gave her some she ate all but one and carried it around for like an hour before she lost it (and that's why I vaccum every night!)! So of course she love to make a fish face and to get "fish kisses" too! She will walk up to you with her lips already pursed, saying "shish" and give you a huge smackeroo! lol! Here is a picture of Roo and her friend Brenna making fishy faces...
